Ottawa backs request for return of Beothuk remains from Scotland

The remains of a Beothuk husband and wife have languished in Scotland for almost two centuries. The Newfoundland and Labrador government has worked with a Mi'kmaq First Nation to get them back, and now the federal government is formally requesting repatriation.
