Liberals expected to announce fighter jet competition, purchase of used jets today

The Liberal government is expected to announce its long-awaited competition to replace the air force's aging CF-18s today. As CBC previously reported, it will also unveil its plan to buy used Australian jet fighters as a stop-gap measure.
