New MMIWG monument a sacred place for families to gather, mourn

The first monument for missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls east of Winnipeg was unveiled in Whitefish River First Nation, approximately 102 kilometres southwest of Sudbury, Ont., to give families a place to gather, raise awareness and honour their loved ones.
